time and money
DuraStraight-20
and DuraStraight-45 are complete packages, so
there aren't any extra steps or products to apply. These
systems eliminate unsightly surface-applied intumescent
around the door, additional framing preparation, and
extra or packing between the frame and the stud.
This complete door
and relite system reduces both expenses for additional
supplies and on-the-job labor; while retaining the same
warmth as a non-rated wood frame. Finally, a simple
hardwood alternative for fire rated wood openings.
Washington Hardwoods
maintains an extensive inventory to support responding
to today's accelerated project schedules. Architectural
flush doors, DuraStraight frame components and
standard dimensional millwork are kept on-hand for timely
shipment. Our broad in-house machining capabilities,
ready inventories and prefinishing services are the
answer to your project schedule whether it is one opening
or one hundred.
Fire
rated solutions for architectural wood openings
Most state and
local building codes mandate the Uniform Building
Code's (UBC) positive pressure testing, because it
simulates actual fire conditions better than negative
or neutral pressure fire tests. Washington Hardwoods'
door and frame system was exposed to realistic fire
conditions, including the hose stream test.
Previously, DuraStraight-20TM
offered a fire-rated frame system. DuraStraight-45TM
was engineered to meet the requirements of UBC-97
7-2, providing enhanced fire resistance in one of
nature's most versatile materials.
